-
The transmitter carrier frequency can be established per needs.
-
Alert Radios shall be suitable for residential or commercial use.
-
RF sensitivity shall be at least 0.7 microvolts for 20db of noise quieting and at least 1.0 microvolt for residential receivers.
-
The required sensitivity of the receivers at +/-25 KHz deviation shall be at least 45db.
-
The receivers shall withstand prolonged periods of exposure to the following environmental extremes: temperature: 10 degrees C to 40 degrees C relative humidity: 10% to 100%.
-
The receivers shall, upon receipt of a standard alerting audible tone signal of 10 seconds length, activate at full volume. The acoustic audio output shall be within the frequency range of 300Hz to 3KHz at a sound pressure level (SPL) at 30cm distance of 83db.
-
Remote alert jack for hearing impaired accessories or external signaling device.
-
After activating, the radio will remain on until turned off by the user and audibly reproduce the information being delivered following the activation signal.
-
Audio frequency response of the receivers shall comply with existing industry standards and produce clear, intelligible speech output. The audio response shall not vary more than +2 to -10db from a standard 6db per octave de-emphasis curve over the frequency range of 300Hz to 3KHz when measured according to EIA specification RS204A. The difference between the level of the hum/noise without modulation and the signal level with modulation shall be at least 40db.
-
9 volt battery back-up operation in case of power outage.
